Our Hawks Rising Giving Campaign is our annual, all-school fundraising opportunity for students, staff, and parents. The restricted funds earned through Hawks Rising are specifically designated to support the designated areas listed each year. Contributions will generally go to support technology upgrades, increased programs, additional staffing for programs, and campus enhancements. Additionally a portion of the funds are used to invest back into Horizon Christian School staff.
Our Together Forward Capital Campaign is focused on generating the funding needed to build a new state of the art facility and establish a new educators endowment. Our enrollment is at its highest and our new facility will allow us to add 300 new students in our K-12 school system while also creating more space for current student within each grade level.
The Global Impact Team was created to provide an opportunity for individuals, families, and organizations to partner with international students that need financial assistance to be able to study abroad. We have seen an influx in applications from students from developing nations. We desire to have a diverse population and want our international students to experience Jesus, a strong education, and become future global leaders. Global Impact Team funds will be used to help meet this need.
Hawk Heritage Giving Society provides unrestricted resources for Horizon Christian School to accomplish our mission of building a school that glorifies God. We do this by inspiring and equipping students to excel academically, engage socially and grow in their faith. While tuition and fees provide the necessary funds to meet our basic operational needs, it only covers 80% of the real cost of education, this is where Hawk Heritage comes in.
Giving to Specified Projects or Needs has been an instrumental source of support that has been invaluable to Horizon Christian School. Occasionally, the school may make a support request for a specific project or need giving our families the opportunity to respond to these requests. Many specific needs have been met in very tangible ways by the generosity of our school community.
A planned gift to Horizon Christian School may include remembering Horizon Christian in your estate plans, transferring stock, or giving a gift of real estate. By naming Horizon Christian School as a beneficiary of your will or living trust, retirement plan (IRA, 403(b), 401(k), etc.), or life insurance policy, you pay nothing out-of-pocket today, yet support our mission and strength in the future. This is a mutually beneficial arrangement that provides a variety of benefits, including capital gains tax savings, and income tax deductibility.
Did you know that many organizations will match up to a certain amount of charitable donations made by their employees? Please check with your Human Resources Department and ask if they have a matching donation program. Feel free to put our school in contact with your HR department, and we will get the necessary paperwork to them. Additionally, many employers will help you double the amount of your contribution by matching your donation. Please check with your employer to see if they match the value of charitable gifts made by employees.
You can set up a recurring gift, paid in weekly, every other week, monthly, or twice monthly annual installments, through our Online Giving Portal. Through recurring gifts, you will provide consistent support to Horizon Christian School. Contributing manageable increments over the year allows you to maximize the impact of your gift while avoiding a large, one-time sum.
Many friends of Horizon Christian School find it very meaningful to donate in honor of a loved one on special occasions, and/or to honor the memory of loved ones who have passed away.
