Josh Platt
Athletic Development Coach, Cross country, and Track & Field Coach
Coach Platt has been with Horizon since 2006. He started as a student and was one of the first graduating classes at Horizon. He competed in 4 varsity sports including track, football, basketball, and cross-country. He returned to Horizon to coach and now serves in the role of athletic development coach in addition to teaching PE, health, and athletic training philosophy classes. In this position he works with each athletic program to develop warm-ups, cool-downs, and conditioning for each team. Coach Platt has 10 years of training and coaching experience in track, cross-country, and basketball. In the spring of 2016 he earned his master’s degree in teaching from George Fox University. He is passionate about developing the athletic, academic, and spiritual components of each student-athlete’s life.
