head Soccer Coach
Duccio Tagliaferri grew up playing soccer in the streets of Naples, Italy and was just 14 when he was recruited to play semi-pro, however he was forced to quit after a serious knee injury. Since relocating to the U.S. with his family, Coach Duccio has had an amazing coaching career. He coached the Westside Timbers for 5 years, serving as a head coach and assistant coach, and served as both coach and director of Portland Thorns Training Center, moving to head coach at the Portland Thorns Pre-Academy in 2009, while also being the head coach at Tigard High for three years. In 2019, Coach Duccio had the privilege of becoming the Director of Coaching for Southside Soccer Club and currently serves as the Executive Director for ALBION SC Portland. When not coaching, he likes to spend time with his wife, Jen, and their three daughters, Maddy, Anna, and Diletta. He also enjoys cooking, taking walks & traveling.
