Volunteering at horizon Christian school
Our Parent Partnership Agreement is our volunteer program designed to provide parental help on each school campus in the classroom, athletics, activities, and events. This helps us keep tuition increases to a minimum while continuing to provide students with a quality education. There are two options for fulfilling your Parent Partnership Agreement which can be found below.
Option #1: Volunteer
This option requires each family to work a minimum of 30 hours during the current school year, beginning from September to May 24 of the following year. In order to be approved as a volunteer or a parent driver, each person must complete our New Volunteer Form or our Returning Volunteer Form. These forms must be filled out at least 2 weeks prior to volunteering for an event. They are available on our website at http://horizonchristian.school/resources/forms.cfm, select school, then select your needed form under the Annual Required Forms section.
Please note: The school will no longer approve any volunteer hours for families who have NOT completed the yearly volunteer form and who have NOT personally entered their hours into HelpCounter. If volunteer hours are not entered by the parents by May 24 of each year, parents will be billed $350 or a pro-rated amount for not fulfilling their hours.
Option #2: Pay
This option indicates your preference to pay the $350 family work fee instead of 30 hours of volunteer time during the school year. This fee will be added to your October incidental fees through FACTS. If you enroll later than October, the fee will be added to your incidental fees in the month of enrollment.
