we have limited openings in k - 8th Grade
for the 2021-2022 SChool Year
We are so grateful for the unprecedented enrollment at Horizon Christian School. We currently have limited openings in our K - 8th grade as well as availability in our 9th -12th grade. We encourage you to complete our Inquiry Form as a first step to determine if we have openings in the particular grade level you are searching for.
Students with Special Educational Needs
We welcome students of varied learning levels, both those with learning challenges and high-achieving students. At this time, we have reached our capacity at the elementary and middle school for the number of students with 504 Plans or IEPs that we can effectively support and accommodate. We value each student and providing quality academics, within our resources, is a priority. This priority helps ensure that effective learning takes place for all students. Therefore, for the 2022-2023 school year, we will not be able to enroll additional students who need extra support with 504 Plans or IEPs. Each year we will evaluate our capacity and update our information at that time.
STEPS FOR NEW STUDENTS TO APPLY
Applying is easy using our Online Application. To begin, Create an Account or login using your existing Application Account to complete your online application. Once the Online Application is submitted, you will be contacted to schedule an interview/assessment.
Please note: The application to Horizon Christian School is a separate application from the Variable Tuition application, and both need to be completed if you are interested in applying for tuition assistance.
Teacher Assessment (Kindergarten): Enjoy the opportunity to meet with one of our kindergarten teachers for 20-30 minutes in a one-on-one session. During this time the teachers will talk with your child, observe their academic readiness, social and emotional maturity, and ask some “getting to know you” questions.
Principal Assessment (1st-5th): Our elementary principal will assess each incoming student(s) with a quick grade level Reading, Writing and Math activity. It is a low-key look at behavior and academic ability, and serves to help us consider if Horizon Christian is right for your child.
Principal Interview (6th-12th Grade): Meet with our principal to share more about your student and why Horizon Christian might be a good fit.
You will be notified of your acceptance and emailed the steps to complete the online enrollment process.
If you need more information or have questions regarding applying, please contact our admissions team.
